The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) of Dalton, Georgia, approved the Kirby home care system for maintaining indoor air quality under its Green Label Testing Program. In a letter, signed by CRI President Werner Braun, "The CRI Indoor Air Quality Green Label Testing Program identifies cleaners that do each of three tasks well: removes soil; contains dust within the filtration bag and the machine itself, effectively keeping it out of the air; and doesn’t damage the carpet and helps keep its appearance looking good.
